We here at CPM are now hiring a Regional Sales Manager for the Take Home Trade on behalf of our client, Diageo.

 

The main focus of this role is to provide achievement and delivery against the Client’s Key Result Areas and targets for CPM in stores through the effective utilisation and coaching of the Team.

Responsibilities:

  • To retain, develop and motivate a team of high-quality Territory Managers &
  • Merchandisers
  • Ensure that maximum coverage is maintained by managing team absence (holiday and sickness)
  • Achieve defined sales targets by store through all channels – these targets will be set by channel and by outlet by the business and by the client
  • Formulate and implement business development plans in conjunction with the Client
  • Service Manager to ensure delivery of commercial objectives given by our client
  • Achieve agreed objectives across all KPIs
  • Ensure all Territory Managers are completing their store reports in a timely, accurate and comprehensive manner
  • To feedback field insights – regularity and content will be advised by your Line Manager
  • Communicate and feedback on all agreed KPIs to team and ensure regular updates and training are followed
  • Management of territory call base maximising efficiency through journey planning;
  • Establish and maintain detailed files on employees including sickness, holidays, performance reviews and disciplinary records as appropriate
  • Complete staff appraisals on direct reports and offer training and development in accordance
  • Continuously up-date training processes to ensure best practice
  • Effectively communicate Client/CPM policies qualities, standards and promotions
  • To generate new ideas and ways of working
  • To consistently strive to reach highest standards of performance for customers
  • To ensure that you operate in an effective and efficient manner to complete all tasks
  • To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by your line manager

 

Required Experience & Competencies:

  • Full clean driving licence
  • Strong Retail Background
  • People Management Experience
  • A proven track record of delivering excellent results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Essential:

  • Ability to drive and manage a highly productive team
  • Ability to operate and excel in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Previous experience in an FMCG role
  • Strong written, verbal and phone communication skills
  • Initiative and ability to perform independently and without direct supervision
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Attention to detail
